Who are the Friends of Beacon Fell?

The Friends of Beacon Fell are a group of people who all love Beacon Fell!

As regular visitors we have all enjoyed the views, walked the paths, watched the wildlife and sipped a brew in the café. But we wanted to become more involved with how the park is developed and what services are provided. All of us could see the potential and after a chat with the Ranger we formed the Friends of Beacon Fell.

Our aims are to:

  • Improve, conserve and protect Beacon Fell for the enjoyment of visitors, working in partnership with Lancashire Countryside Service (LCS)

  • Carry out and/or support specific (approved) projects designed to benefit visitors and the flora and fauna of the Fell

  • Provide opportunities for local communities to get actively involved with their country park

  • Raise funds for the work of the Friends of Beacon Fell

  • Enable park users and stakeholders to provide feedback to Lancashire Countryside Service.
